Sinéad Mercier: I work at the intersection of place, climate change, cultural heritage, planning/property and energy law. I analyse the historical, philosophical, and cultural dynamics of the Irish energy sector in order to democratise and rebuild energy law for the public good.

My PhD research is a genealogy of the concept of land/energy in Irish energy legislation, using a place-based law and geography approach.
